Recently, the web publication Luxuary Travel Guide announced that the West part of Iceland was voted the most spectacular destination for 2017.
We are especially pleased since this is a region we have been promoting since we took our first guests out touring.

So why is it so special? Well to start with, it is off the beaten touristic path but that alone is not enough. (We are updating this post now in 2025 and the same is still true).
One of our clients told us that the tour was one of the most spectacular coastal drive they had ever done (and believe us, they had been around;) You have the enigmatic glacier Snæfellsjökull, enchanting villages like Stykkishólmur, black rock beaches like at Hellnar, sea stacks like Lóndrangar and so, much more.

But this is only the beginning: Sail over the bay Breidafjördur, to the North-West part and overnight in island Flatey and we can guarantee you the most amazing Iceland tour! Because once you have crossed the bay you can spend days discovering this large region of snow-capped mountains, small sea-side villages and picturesque fjords. Sparsely populated by friendly locals, this is the place for some true off the beaten path touring in Iceland.
Let’s go!
