The cabins are spacious and have a real sense of Nordic coziness but with fresh contemporary furnishings and pops of color. The restaurant and breakfast room is a lovely space for an intimate dinner or a place to meet like-minded travelers. The rooms back onto the lake, rich with birdlife, moss covered lava fields, black sand glacial river and the imposing volcanoes and Iceland’s highest peak, Hvannadalshnúkur in the distance.
