Hotel Budir boasts an absolutely beautiful location, surrounded by mountains, lava fields and set on the oceanfront with amazing views to the enigmatic Snæfellsjökull glacier. It is situated on the south part of the Snæfellsnes pensinsula and only a couple of hours drive from Reykjavik. It is the first true boutique hotel in Iceland and remains one on of the best thanks to solid foundation and a dedicated staff.
You’ll find it easy to spend more than one night at Búdir. There is a plethora of interesting places to discover in the vicinity of the hotel and you will appreciate the hikes in the area, they are quite spectacular.
The rooms in the hotel are all individually decorated and charming. There’s only one Master Suite which we highly recommend if it’s available. All rooms come equipped with TV, DVD-player, phone, wi-fi and hair dryer. The restaurant offers some exquisite contemporary dishes based around the traditional Icelandic cuisine, specializing in lamb and fish. All the fish comes from local fishermen, the freshest catch available.
