Boutique hotel for great food experience
Since 2016, hosts Inga Elsa and Gísli have been welcoming guests to their home, studio and boutique guesthouse Brimslód in the village Blönduós. As a guest you will love the tranquil sea-side atmosphere and the nice stay in the newly refurbish old house. Blönduós is a place easily over-looked by travellers, but a stroll on the beach next to guesthouse and to the estuary of the big river Blanda, will quickly reveal that spending time at Brimslód is a very good idea. In the summer time you can admire the Midnight Sun bouncing on the big horizon of the North-Atlantic Ocean and in the winter, you can watch the Northern Lights from the hotel, when those fickle lights appear.
Brimslóð is the perfect place for foodies. Dinner is an unforgettable part of the stay and a perfect way to round off the day. Three-course set meals are served at the large communal table in the spacious dining room, with its large picture window, overlooking the sea.
Share delicious home cooked food, prepared with local ingredients, good conversation and great company. We can arrange a special tour with the owners to collect local ingredients while you talk about the new Nordic cuisine and even partake in cooking the dinner.
