THE SOUTH COAST
Tastefully refurbished manor house in beautiful natural settings
Skálakot is a family run boutique hotel located in the heart of the southern countryside. It’s actually a working farm which is renowned for the Icelandic horse breeding.
Set at the edge of the Highlands, at the foot of a glacier and overlooking the North-Atlantic Ocean.
The stunning backdrop to the hotel is the hills and the foot of the volcano-glacier Eyjafjallajökull. Skálakot is just a short drive away from glaciers and volcanoes.
Each room and suite have been individually designed and are decorated in the Art Deco style with a fusion of luxury and modernism and some few country elements. Every room has wi-fi, tea or coffee making facilities, hairdryer 43” HDTV, bathrobes, a collection of soaps and the restaurant offers a fine dining menu made from local fresh ingredients.
